The Fire Safety course is designed to promote a culture within your business that encourages everyone to focus on fire prevention and outlines the correct action to take in the event of a fire.
Aims of the course
The course aims to change the way your organisation thinks about fire safety and help ensure your organisation meets the requirements and intent of the 'Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order' or the Fire (Scotland) Act and the Fire Safety (Employees’ Capabilities) (England) Regulations.
Who is it for?
It is a legal requirement to provide fire safety training for all building occupants and employees. This course is appropriate for staff of all levels and across all business sectors.

2. UNDERSTANDING FIRE
Understanding fire, how fires start, housekeeping, hazards and risks, waste disposal and materials storage.
3. FIRE ACTION
What to do on discovering a fire, raising the alarm, what to do on hearing the alarm, tackling a fire if safe to do so.
The effective use of time, fire drills, the location of escape routes, fire doors and emergency fastenings, reasons for not using lifts, additional procedures.
5. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
Classification of fires, types of extinguishers, using an extinguisher.
A short assessment comprising of a series of questions to test your knowledge and understanding of the course.
