About The Course
The module draws upon all points of the 'Health and Safety (DSE ) Regulations', the 'Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations' and the 'Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations' to provide a comprehensive and interactive course for office safety.
Aims of the course
To equip the learner with a greater understanding of the potential hazards present within a normal office environment, and provide guidance on how to develop a culture that is more risk aware, thus reducing the potential for injury and harm.

The course is for employees at all levels who work in an office environment.
Problems associated with office safety, employer commitment to health & safety, safety guidelines, responsibilities, policies and procedures.
2. BASIC SAFETY AWARENESS
Duties of employer and employee, accidents, causes, prevention & reporting, first aid, terrorist threats, developing a positive culture.
3. OFFICE HAZARDS
Fire and emergencies, slips, trips and falls, electricity and display screen equipment, lone working and working hours, manual handling and hazardous substances, energy and waste management, managing pressure, housekeeping and storage.
4. CASE STUDY
A case study virtual office environment that tests your ability to identify and deal with potential office hazards.
A short assessment comprising of a series of questions to test your knowledge and understanding of the course.
