About The Course
Our Noise Awareness course will give your managers and employees an improved awareness of the risks associated with noise and how those risks can be best managed.
Aims of the course
The course aims to help employees meet the requirements of the ‘Control of Noise at Work Regulations’ by following the HSE Guidance Note ‘Noise at work - Guidance for employers on the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005’ (INDG362).
Who is it for?
The course is aimed at any employer, self-employed person or employee whose work may involve exposure to noise levels that may be harmful to health.
Regulations that do and do not apply, duties and responsibilities.
2. DEFINING THE PROBLEM
What is noise? Principles of sound, how the ear works, harmful noise.
Action values, risk assessments, information, instruction and training.
Information from the risk assessment, controlling the noise.
5. PERSONAL PROTECTION
Introduction to protection, management controls, types of protection.
A short assessment comprising of a series of questions to test your knowledge and understanding of the course.
